Carbon Offset Program
Geofeat is currently in negotiations with a local conservation group to develop an ongoing carbon offset program.
The aim of the project will be to offset the carbon emissions from our air travel by replanting and rejuvenating degradaded land with local native plant species.
Discussions are currently being held with the regional manager of Conservation Volunteers Australia to find a suitable site in our area. Once located, we will engage the services of a local horticulturist to recommend appropriate native plants.
This project will be an ongoing commitment for Geofeat, and we will be making regular visits to the site, and volunteering our labour on tree planting days when possible.
We hope that by making this commitment, and taking a hands on approach to the global carbon gas emission problem, we can inspire others to do the same in their local areas.
Geofeat is pleased to be a member of Conservation Volunteers Australia.
