Book Review: The Hundred-Year Lie
By Roger Burrell
Randall Fitzgerald's book is destined to become a modern day classic.
In this highly readable, and thoroughly researched book, the author carefully combines interviews, scientific research and years of data to reveal how, over the last 100 years, the modern world has become polluted with innumerable toxic synthetic chemicals.
Back Cover (extract)
Human beings are fast becoming one of the most polluted species on the planet.
- The average American now carries a 'body burden' of seven hundred or more synthetic chemicals, including Teflon residues, plastics, and dozens of pesticides.
- A fire retardant chemical contaminates fish, pork, turkey, chicken, cheese, butter, milk, eggs and ice cream in most grocery stores.
- A 2005 study of lactating women in eighteen US states found perchlorate (toxic component of rocket fuel) in practically every mother's breast milk.
- Lab tests have found that four common food additives (aspartame, MSG, and two colouring chemicals) interact synergistically to produce nerve damage.
- In the past few decades male sperm counts fell by 50%, women's tubal pregnancies increased 400%, and girls, eight years old and younger, began experiencing puberty.

Dental Amalgams
By Dr Robert Gammal
The dental associations and even government bodies tell us that amalgam is safe because only a 'little bit' of mercury comes out of amalgam fillings.
They support this comment by telling us that most of the mercury comes out at the time of amalgam placement and thus insinuate that it is OK once the amalgam is set. The fact is that mercury is released from amalgam throughout the life of the filling.

Learn to Grow Your Own Wheatgrass Juice
By Rhonda Boswell
Growing you own fresh, organic wheatgrass at home is both easy and fun. The vitality derived from wheatgrass juice is remarkable, with 30mls (1 ounce) of freshly squeezed juice containing as much nutritional value as approximately 2 kilos (2 1/2 pounds) of fresh green vegetables.
Wheatgrass juice is a complete protein containing about 20 amino acids (the building blocks of protein), about 30 enzymes which are important for correct digestion and other bodily processes, and approximately 90 different minerals. Organic wheatgrass grown at home can provide you with your own daily source of fresh wheatgrass juice.

The basic principle behind Sonett products is one of caring and being responsible for water, our main life force. The inspiration for developing Sonett washing and cleaning agents goes back to the research carried out by the scientist Johannes Schnorr at the Herrischried-based Institute of Flow Sciences in Germany in the late 1960s.
The droplet imaging method is able to tell us something about the quality of the water as a life force and as a foodstuff. Schnorr used this method to prove the presence of tensides in drinking water. These tensides stemmed from the residual traces of washing and cleaning agents that Nature had not been able to degrade sufficiently. These residues were deposited in the groundwater as well as in lakes and rivers where they caused enormous mountains of foam to be generated at retaining weirs and locks. The experience he had gathered using droplet imaging motivated Schnorr to develop a new environmentally friendly detergent.
